At the Eurocrew’s shows back in September, I stumbled upon a very clean modified BMW Z4 E85 roadster in one of the racing booths.
It didn’t have a screaming livery or bulky racing wings, but its presence was very captivating, proving that wheels and suspension are all you need to make these stand out.

Among the roadsters and sports convertibles, BMW Z4 has always been a standout thanks to its combination of the good-looking design with the high-end sports car layout, much like the more expensive AMG GT.
The driver’s seat is positioned much closer to the rear wheels compared to other modern sports cars, providing that special GT driving experience.
Exterior and Wheels
Its basic silver metallic color looked exceptionally well in contrast to all the drift-spec cars parked under the tents. The low stance and noticeably smaller ground clearance suggested that it was sitting on a set of performance lowering springs or coilovers.

The most striking detail of this Z4 is certainly the wheels – a staggered set of AC Schnitzer 3pc custom wheels wrapped in low-profile rubber. White SpeedHunters tire decals enhanced the overall sporty aesthetic of this Z4.
When looking at the front of the car, it’s hard not to notice the tinted black optics which provide a better contrast with the silver-metallic paintjob.

List of mods
- AC Schnitzer 19 inch 3pc 3custom wheels
- Lowered Suspension
- Blacked out headlights
- Custom hood with pins
- Hardrace suspension components

Conclusion
The BMW Z4 has such exceptional design that it doesn’t need serious modifications to stand out from the crowd. In most cases, it’s just the stance and the wheels that make all the difference, allowing the car’s natural proportions to shine through. This particular Z4 is certainly one of the best examples of a simple yet sporty street build that proves less can indeed be more.
