Rally racing has always been a thing in Europe, and as any motorsports discipline, it kept the automakers pushing the limits of technologies and manufacturing.
The homologation rules required the car manufacturers to
use production vehicles in the competitions instead of using crazy prototypes, which has brought spirited driving and performance cars to the public roads.
Key Takaways:
- This 2-door Audi Coupe is true spiritual successor of the legendary Audi Quattro from the 80s
- The Audi S2 Coupe never received an official widebody race version despite its racing heritage
- This is full race-spec custom build with Prior Design widebody kit and many other upgrades.

Quattro Heritage
Audi Quattro was one of the most iconic rally models that has brought numerous podiums to this brand. Being produced from 1980 until 1991 it’s gone through numerous stages of development and featured all kinds of variations starting from the mass-production Audi Quattro up to homologation special Quattro sport, and a racing monster Quattro S1 Evolution, but what is more, it originated the development of the whole new S-line series of the cars produced by Audi until today.

Audi S2
The Audi S2 was a successor of the legendary Quattro. The boxy silhouette of the outdated 80-Series was replaced by the new generation body style in the form of a 2-door hatchback and a 4-door wagon called Avant, but the production widebody race-spec version of the S2 has never happened despite the hopes of the fans.

The Coupe Build
Being a die-hard fan of the motorsports and rally competitions, in particular, Brian Scotto, the co-founder of the Hoonigan decided to fill this gap and bring his own vision of the 90s rally-worthy Quattro S2.

Wide body Kit
The unique limited edition Prior Design body kit developed specifically for the Audi Coupe is a tribute to the Audi Quattro S1/S2 rally edition models and features a lot of common traces of the original model. Widebody front and rear fenders, vented hood and bumpers resemble the boxy homologation special Quattro from the 80s.

Custom Wheels
DTM motorsports-inspired design of the new Fifteen52 wheels, Vortex Dual Round Headlights inspired by 90s rally cars, and the upswept ovalized DTM exhaust fit just right into the concept of the build. The car seats low on a set of KW DTM coilovers.
Performance

But unlike many show cars, this build is not only about the looks. The car features extensive performance modifications that include a fully modified 2.2 3B Turbo inline 5 engine from the S2 that was stroked and bored to 2.6L, Wireless Bluetooth-controlled sparks, cloud-based ECU, and lots of other cutting-edge racing techs.
Interior
The interior was fully caged to make the car safe for Hill climb competitions and other racing events.

Performance category leads the build with the most modifications, featuring extensive powertrain upgrades centered around a stroked 2.6L turbo inline-5 engine. The build scores perfect 10s in Performance, Suspension, and Exterior categories, with the latter dominated by the rare Prior Design widebody kit, while the Interior shows racing spec-level preparation.
