Continuing a series of articles dedicated to modified Mercedes-Benz cars, it was absolutely impossible to overlook this absolutely insane Brabus B30 build from Sydney, Australia. Unlike many replicas, this one features a genuine Brabus exterior and performance kit designed specifically for the W205 Mercedes C-Class Coupe.
The original intent of the owner was to buy a complete vehicle manufactured in-house by Brabus, but unfortunately, due to Australian road regulations, it was impossible to import the car in his desired configuration to his home country.

Brabus B30 Custom Build
It would certainly be a deal-breaker for a non-car guy simply looking for a brand new high-performance car, but being an experienced gearhead, the owner of this C300 accepted it as a creative challenge and decided to build the car he envisioned using original Brabus parts and a base car he could legally drive in his country.
“Brabus cars are built at the Brabus factory. I couldn’t get what I wanted in my country due to road regulations. After over a year of drama, I imported parts overseas and built the car in Australia myself with the help of some professionals. It’s not a Brabus production car, but it is genuine Brabus parts”.
The project started life as a basic 2016 Mercedes C300 Coupe equipped with the standard 2.0L inline 4-cylinder gas engine that produces 241 horsepower in the basic configuration. The car soon went through a serious modification process that improved every aspect of this vehicle.

To source the parts for his project, the owner contacted Brabus directly. Their full carbon fiber exterior package came with the front bumper, side skirts, rear diffuser, fender vents, rear spoilers, and many other small add-ons to completely change the exterior of this car and bring the look he envisioned at the very beginning of his journey.
To free up space for the upcoming engine upgrades and improve ventilation, it was decided to install an aftermarket hood from Darwin, which comes with side vents and a small cowl.

Performance
This build wasn’t meant to be just a show car. The owner decided to enhance the engine performance as well and managed to increase the output well above the 400 horsepower mark. To achieve such an impressive result, the car was outfitted with a fully forged engine, custom turbo setup, upgraded intercooler, and a methanol kit.
Obviously, factory brakes were not capable enough to handle the improved power, which almost doubled the factory numbers. That’s why the owner installed a big brake kit from the Mercedes SL65 AMG with drilled and slotted rotors and six-piston calipers.

Stance
To cover up the big brake kit, the owner decided to go with original black Brabus monoblock custom wheels. These wheels are made to special order and feature the vehicle’s VIN number on each of them.
To achieve that sporty low stance, the original Mercedes Air-Matic air suspension was reprogrammed to maintain lower ride height and be adjustable to the owner’s liking.
