The SN95 Mustang has a soft spot in the heart of every 90s kid and American Muscle fan of that era. I am no exception. Maybe it’s the feeling of nostalgia or a truly good looking design that makes this body style age so well, but the SN95s will definitely remain desirable over the years.
When I first stumbled upon Jeremy’s late-model 1998 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra, it immediately caught my attention with a wide meaty stance and aggressive looks. For me, this is the perfect SVT Cobra, with subtle custom upgrades that highlight the original design of the car while staying true to its DNA.
This laser red 1998 Ford Mustang Cobra is a true eye-catcher. Jeremy bought it bone stock and has done all the work on it himself using only legit parts.
Key Modifications:
- Lowered sports suspension setup
- Performance air intake and exhaust
- Subtle custom exterior add-ons true to SN95 DNA

SVT Cobra Build
Jeremy has clearly taken care of every aspect of this build, improving the suspension, performance, and appearance while preserving the original character that makes this SVT Cobra special.

After the daunting times of the 70s and 80s fuel crisis the SN95 Generation brought back the good old muscle car spirit and big power engines to the market. It definitely helped to keep that muscle car flame burning bright. – Matt Grabli

Performance Mods
Under the hood, Jeremy has given this SVT Cobra some serious performance upgrades without going overboard. On the starters, he added MSD ignition packs paired with NGK plugs deliver a stronger, more consistent spark from the 4.6L DOHC V8. Next, he proceeded with the aspiration with the JLT performance cold air intake, which allows the engine to breathe easier, bringing in cooler, denser air for better combustion. On the exhaust side, he did the BBK x-pipes connected to Flowmaster 10 series mufflers with custom 4-inch chrome tips.
Jeremy didn’t forget about power delivery either, upgrading to a new T-45 transmission with a Steeda tri-ax short throw shifter and McLeod street racing clutch.

Suspension & Wheels
The suspension setup on this SVT Cobra is where function truly meets form. Those beefy 315/35R17 Toyo tires in the rear provide serious grip (and looks), while the 245/45R17s up front ensure optimal steering response.
This aggressive rubber is kept firmly planted thanks to Eibach lowering springs that drop the ride height just enough for that perfect stance without compromising drivability.
The Koni shock absorbers work with Bilstein quad shocks to maintain composure during hard launches and cornering, while BBK upper and lower control arms improve geometry and eliminate flex.
For stopping power, the owner went with brand new calipers paired with slotted and drilled rotors.
Exterior
The owner’s approach to the exterior mods shows his love to the SVT Cobra’s original design language. The car remained mostly stock with the the addition of the Carters Customs street chin spoiler accompanied by Magicdrift side splitters and rear diffuser that create a ground-hugging profile.
Blacked-out custom headlights and fog lights add a few points to the overal look of the car. Raxiom sequential kit, gives the taillights that cool Mustang sequential turn signal effect that’s both functional and nostalgic – a perfect nod to Mustang heritage.
